Figure Study: Stretch and Twist 04/2010
This is one the first successful drawings from my “Post Huston Phase”. By Post Huston, I’m referring to the months after the intensive Steve Huston workshop where I studied and tried to digest Steve’s ‘method’ and teaching. As you can see, there’s a lot of dynamic stretching and twisting going on. It’s obviously exaggerated and almost ‘broken’, but learning how far you can push your drawings is part of the process.
